Galera is a pretty and historical village which has a school, a hotel, small supermarkets, a swimming pool open during the summer months, a doctor's surgery, a chemist, bars and a weekly market, etc.
The nearest airport is 1.5 hours drive away (Granada), followed by Almeria (1h45) , Murcia (2h15) and Alicante (2h30) airports.
The coast is around 1h30 drive away and there are beach areas and hot springs at Lake Negratin which is around 50 minutes drive away.
